The SOHS online activities calendar and sports schedule is kept by SOHS Associate Principal/Athletic Director, Mr. Irvin , and can be viewed at: www.viewmyschedule.com

Check this calendar for all events!!!

All events must be scheduled through Mr. Irvin who is in charge of the school facility. Please clear dates with him  before making definite plans.  Events must be placed on the school calendar to avoid conflicts.  There is a Calendar of Events Request Form available in the Office for this purpose.  Please report any additions or corrections to the calendar to him, as well. MapQuest driving directions to events and activities are also available from thewww.viewmyschedule.com site.

Lady Dragons Pre-Season 2008-09 Schedule

Test Prep class now being offered for Dec. 13, 2008 at school by retired math teacher Eric Gedney.

11/18/08- District Gifted and Talented Educational Services (GATES) staff host parent night to present information about changes and future direction of GATES, discuss issues related to parenting a gifted child. Dr. Ed Amend, a psychologist who specializes in working with gifted children and their parents will be the featured speaker. North Oldham High School will host this meeting, which will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. To learn, more please visit the OCS district webpage.

NOTE: Starting this year, SOHS will NOT offer summer school.  Instead, summer school will be offered at Buckner Alternative High School with limited classes which will run for 4 weeks.  Please make sure your student gives his/her best academically and takes advantage of the many avenues of academic assistance at South during the regular school year.


NOTE: Students are permitted up to three days for college visits, cumulative. these may be taken during their junior or senior year for college-initiated activities such as pre-registration and interviews. According to the OCBE Policy 9010, up to two days for college visits in a single year may be used when proper procedures are followed and the student will not be marked absent. Students and parents must follow the VACATION POLICY procedures (see SOHS Handbook) when applying for college visits. Breaks in October, December, February and April are ideal times for college visits as well.
